Shoe CareSuede

Suede is a type of leather made from the inner layer of an animal hide. It is soft, pliable, and velvety, and is often used in clothing, shoes, and handbags. Unlike leather, caring for suede is easier than traditional leather contradictory to common beliefs. Here is a short guide to help you care for and appreciate the suedes used to produce your fine footwear.

1. Remove Dust and Dirt:

Use a dedicated horsehair brush to eliminate dirt and dust from your shoes; avoid using the same brush for polishing your calf shoes.

2. Restoring The Nap:

Use a crepe rubber suede brush to restore and draw out the nap. Apply gentle pressure, allowing the crepe to naturally grip the nap. Suede is highly durable against the elements, so steps one and two should suffice for your weekly regimen.

Though suede shoes require regular brushing to restore the nap and remove any dirt or debris, excessive brushing can lead to the flattening of the suede fibers. Finding the right balance is crucial for keeping suede shoes in optimal condition.

Shoe Trees

Wooden shoe trees aid in evenly distributing brushing strokes, ensuring that the entire shoe receives a thorough brush
