Leather soles are slippery
We get a lot of heated questions asking if leather soles are slippery. Now it's obviously down to your personal preference and what your previous experiences might have been, but here's what we think about it. The soles after you wear it for a little bit, where the front part of it gets a bit scuffed and rougher, it's not slippery at all. It just takes a little bit longer to get there.
Now some of you might want to have grip immediately out of the box. What we recommend is, taking it out into a rough surface like a cemented flooring and kind of scratches on it for a little bit. That takes off that shiny smooth surface of the leather sole immediately and you get grip but it might also depend if you are living in wet conditions where it's not so preferable to wear a leather shoe. Now that's a different matter altogether but inherently leather shoes aren't slippery. It is more slippery perhaps compared to a Rubber Sole but the general amount of grip you need to walk around, get into a jog once in a while, if you're running from one point to another, leather soles are generally okay. We wouldn't conclude that they are slippery per se, it just takes a little bit longer to get that grip. But the advantage that comes with a leather sole is the fact that it breathes which is better for your feet health. And it makes that special sound that we like so much and you get that only on leather Sole shoes.
